PW Sequioa

The Street Tree is a blog by Paul Wood – that’s me looking up at a giant Coastal Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) in California. I’m the author of London’s Street Trees: A Field Guide to the Urban Forest, published in June 2017

I live in London, I spent many years working in the technology industry, I was a trustee of London Wildlife Trust until 2017, and in October I enrolled on the MFA programme at Goldsmiths University of London.

I’ve been interested in plants since I was 13 when a Pyramidal Orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis) appeared in our back garden. Everywhere I go I find myself making mental notes about what’s growing and what might be growing, so this blog is my musings on nature, plants, landscapes and the environment.

Maybe we could collaborate on tree-related projects, have a look at this page.
